Go through your closet and make four piles

In the first pile, put everything that you want to keep. This pile can end up very small - don't worry about that. The second pile is for clothes that you can give away or donate. The third pile is for clothes that are so ruined that they cannot be worn. These can later be made into rags or thrown out. The last pile should have clothes that you won't wear, but like something about it- maybe it's the color, or it's made of a cool fabric. Set these aside for later.
